Journalism is my primary passion, which is reflected in most of my work, particularly photography.

I have been shooting since I was 16 years old. I chose photography as a filler subject in college, but ended up falling in love with the craft. I then took it up professionally at the age of 18. I entered the queer scene after moving to Manchester in 2021, finding my community only spurred me on with my creative concepts and passion for my artwork.

My primary focus within documentation is on the community in any form. After spending the first four years shooting my community and moving into the sex worker and kink scene, I made it my goal to capture other niche subcultures and spaces within the UK. I'm fascinated by what brings people together, whether it be a sense of self, hyperfixation or circumstance, I'm determined to explore every nook and cranny of every unity of people. I now have experience in anything from retirement homes to professional wrestling to charity events.

I have been running events since 2019. Although after covid is when they started to take off. You might be asking What do these events entail? Moving to Manchester, I was all alone, I had no connections within the creative scene and thought that because I hadn't attended university that I would never have a chance of climbing the ladder within Manchester.

I hosted my first networking event in my first apartment and invited eight strangers from the internet into my home. Three years later, and my new roommate (who I had met at that very first social) have established @campclub_uk, where we run high-concept life drawing classes and networking events for those looking to expand their contacts and make friends. To see more info on our events, visit @campclub_uk on Instagram!

I don't model on a professional level, although I think it's important that photographers have experience on both sides of the lens. As well as working alongside other photographers, I have also modelled for life drawing classes. knowing how it feels to be on the other side of a project helps massively with directing and ensuring a model's comfort is always a priority.
